Introduction: One of the problems of educational systems is the subject of academic failure that have unpleasant financially and attitude result on the students and their family. This study examined the training effectiveness of group counseling cognitive therapy & reality therapy on reducing educational failure on the orphan students among the school students.

Methods: This research is an experimental study with a pretest and posttest and control groups were tested. Independent variable counseling cognitive therapy & realty therapy and dependent variable are educational failure. The population of study included all students who have educational failure in high school students in Saqqez city who have a bad family. Using a randomly selected sample of 45 and randomly in three groups of experimental and control. Experimental group for 8 sessions (1/30) hour training session cognitive therapy & realty therapy received every week of training and testing took about 2 months. The data collected by average score in formative and final. To show the difference between groups, were calculated the mean and standard deviation for the experimental and control group and Analysis of milt covariance was used for data analysis.

Results: The results showed that cognitive and reality therapy had a significant impact on developmental scores and the second, orphan and irresponsible girl.

Conclusion: Cognitive and reality therapy has an effect on reducing orphan and irresponsible girl student
