Introduction: Teachers play a fundamental role in the education, and training of students. In fact, primary education is one of the most crucial and effective courses in the educational system. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the quality of life and general health of primary school teachers in Jiroft city.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 241 primary school teachers working in public and non-profit primary schools in Jiroft in the academic year 2019-2020. Participants of this study were selected by random cluster sampling from among 21 primary schools. Three general health questionnaires (GHQ-1979), quality of life (Walton-1974) and demographics were used to collect data in this study. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 software with a significance level of p≤0.05.
Results:  Based on the research findings, the mean score of general health was 16.08±6.17 and the mean score of quality of life was 67.6±5.51. In the field of quality of life, they received the lowest score on the scale of fair payment and work 3.38±2.04. Moreover, in the field of general health, teachers had the highest mean score on the physical-physiological scale 5.35±3.5. Based on the research results, significant relationship was shown between general health and quality of life scales (p<0.05).
Conclusion:  Due to the inadequacy of general health and quality of life of primary school teachers as well as the significant importance of primary education, it is recommended that the ministry of education improve the quality of life, and general health of teacher and reduce their mental health disorders in this course by minimizing their problems through face-to-face interviews.
